Every holiday is better with a home

For many of us, “Home for the holidays” is a magical time of year when we look forward to gathering together with our families and friends in the warmth and comfort of our homes. But, for many Fauquier Habitat homeowners, “home for the holidays” means so much more.

Ivett and Ernesto Mejia Bustos, along with their daughter Emma Valentina, are Fauquier Habitat’s newest homeowners. Every holiday season they visit with family and friends to celebrate. This year, however, being home for the holidays means so much more. For the first time, Ivett, Ernesto, and Emma can welcome their friends and family into their new Habitat home. They will cook nutritious meals and scrumptious desserts, while celebrating the blessings that a forever-home provides: stability, opportunity, and hope.

The magic of being home for the holidays doesn’t stop there. Because of the increased financial security that comes with owning an affordable Habitat home, Ivett and Ernesto have been able to save money for gifts that Emma and her cousins will open on Christmas morning. And, in the warmth and comfort of their new home, Emma, and the new little one on the way, will stay safe and healthy throughout the winter months.

Because of you, Ivett, Ernesto, and Emma will celebrate the holidays in their new Habitat home while experiencing the stability, health, and financial security that come with owning an affordable place to live. Your financial investment and dedication to Fauquier Habitat builds more than houses – it builds strong families, healthy neighborhoods, and new opportunities.

As the holidays approach, I hope you can find it in your heart to help bring more families “home for the holidays,” so they too can experience the strength, stability and self-reliance that comes with affordable homeownership.

Thank you for your investment in Fauquier Habitat for Humanity and the families we serve. We celebrate your commitment to our mission this holiday season.

With gratitude,
